Assign an Online Test
To assign an online test, follow the steps below:
- Log into the LinkIt! portal. Click on the "Online Testing" menu, followed by the "Assign Online Test" tab.
- Select the class that you would like to assign the test to by using the drop-down menu on the upper-left corner of the Test Assignment window.
Note: Depending on your user role, you will have different levels of access. A District Administrator will need to select a school, a teacher and a class. A School-level Administrator will not need to select the school, but will need to select a teacher. A Teacher will need only to select a class. - Select the test that you would like to assign by using the Test Selector on the right.
- Once you've found your test, click on the test so that it's highlighted in blue and the Create Assignment button on the bottom is activated. Click on Create Assignment to assign the test.
- The test will appear in the Class Assignments table. The unique Test Code is displayed at the right of the table. Students will need this unique code to take the online test.
- You may write the test code on the blackboard. Alternatively, you may copy the test code by clicking the circular “copy” button to the right of the code, and paste the code into a Word document or an email program. This allows you to easily distribute the code to the class.
Note: This code is associated with the class you've selected, and is NOT unique to each student - i.e. all students from the class will use the same code to enter the test-taking environment where they will have to select their name from a list. - *** District Level Administrators may also change the District Test Settings by clicking the button on the upper-right corner of the window. These settings apply to all assessments taken online in the district. LinkIt! does not recommend changing the default settings unless you have a specific reason to do so.
