School

A School is represented by the following properties in the LinkIt! database. Most of these properties are editable and can be used when searching for a school. They may also be required when creating a new school.

SchoolIDINTEGERa unique ID associated with each school in the LinkIt! database. This property is required when editing or deleting a school.
NameSTRING (100)the name of the school. EXAMPLES: CLARK ELEMENTARY, LINCOLN HS
CodeSTRING (20)the local code used by the district or the Student Information System to identify each school. EXAMPLES: 060, ES001
StateCodeSTRING (20)the code used by the state to identify each school. May or may not be the same as the local code. EXAMPLE: NY123456, 00112233
CreatedDateDATETIMEthe date and time when the school is created in the LinkIt! database. EXAMPLE: 9/30/2013 12:00:00 AM
ModifiedDateDATETIMEthe date and time when the school is last modified in the LinkIt! database. EXAMPLE: 9/30/2013 12:00:00 AM
StatusSTRING (50)the status of the school,  ACTIVE or INACTIVE.
StateSTRING (2)the 2-letter code of the state that the school is associated with. EXAMPLES: NY, TX By default, the school follows the state of the district, unless indicated otherwise.

The Name of the school is visible to users when generating bubble sheets, assigning online tests and running reports on the LinkIt! portal. The Name and Code are also used when uploading staff roster, student roster and third-party assessment data via LinkIt!'s batch upload utilities (StateCode is often used when uploading state assessment data). As such, we recommend that you adopt the most commonly used naming and coding convention in the district when creating or editing a school.
